Necromancer fastest leveling? - Phoenix Freeshard

Hello!

i'm starting to play as a necro and i was going to use this guide to help me out : http://noblemenguild.tripod.com/id4.html
What do you think? is it still good?

Right now i'm just going to spots using my drains and when my inventory is full i'm selling and giving my eggs to the trainer.

Is it the fastest way ? :p

Yes and no. I can't say whether the Necro information is still relevant but I see they don't focus on targeting only XP Item mobs. As solo, you should be farming XP Item mobs until you get 10 then move onto the next set of XP Item mobs. Make sure to turn in the XP Items at the beginning of the level. You can turn in a stack of 10 at one time, but the items are applied one at a time in terms of giving you XP. If you turn in a stack of 10 and the XP from 4 items gains you a level, the next 6 XP Items are applied into the next level. This means you can only use 4 XP Items on that level now.

Edit: I believe this is the fastest way solo to level - It's possible that mass grinding OJ/RED mobs may be quicker but I can't say.

Just reading the beginning of guide, it's a mistake to do Str over Con for starting points. Your base con on your character transfers over to your pet. So that 10 con will give your pet the same deal.

Players that think giving the caster con buffs before they summon pet thinking it'll transfer over to pet is incorrect as only con not obtained by buffs transfer over. So maximize con you can get to your base, the stronger the pet throughout your career. If you plan to play the Necro for long career, I would delete and start over with con over str.

10 con/10 dex/10 int or 15 dex/10 int only way to go.

And don't forget to get youself capped out con/hitpoint equip when summoning your pet.

I remember those 101con/400 hit summoning weapon/shield switches...

Wait... Does this work on all pet classes? Including Cabbies?

No. Nec only as he basically turns into his pet.

All other pet classes have a default pet (with varying basic stats) that they can, dependant on the spec, buff up (pets don't get more HP, they only gain absorb and in some cases faster cast-/attackrates etc.) their pet.

Fastest way is def trying to get a bomb group. Just type in LFG chat "battery lf pbea grp" and ppl will invite you.

Yeah, played about 4 hours while looking for a group, went from 20 to 26 from doing the turn in quests.
