Thane and Weapon/Damage Table

According to DAoC Wiki a Thane is on factor 19 with a hammer and on factor 18 with an axe or a sword on damage table. Is this the stand used by gameplay mechanics of Phoenix too?
If yes, how exactly it will be changed if I use axe or hammer with a thane? What is the difference between factor 18 and 19?

Thane along with Paladin were bumped up to the VW damage table, probably all weapons they use are now on that VW damage table.

That is incorrect. Friar and Paladin were bumped up to VW damage table, Thane was not.

Here is the link to the changes to those 3 classes: https://forum.playphoenix.online/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=2670

In that case, Thane and Champion melee damage needs to be upgraded to the same damage table as Paladin and Friar.

Take a look at this post if you guys don't mind:

Trying to get the devs to provide a damage table for all classes (though my love of Thanes is what prompted it )

It is exactly as you posted http://camelotherald.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_Table with the exception of 1) Paladin being moved from 19 to 21 and 2) Friar being moved from 20 to 21. This can be confirmed in the link I posted above about hybrid class changes as well as on the wiki (see links below)

Albion Class Changes: http://playphoenix.wiki/albion-class-changes/

Midgard Class Changes: http://playphoenix.wiki/midgard-class-changes/

Hibernia Class Changes: http://playphoenix.wiki/hibernia-class-change/

I've played Thane the entirety of my DAOC career (since late 2002) and I can firmly state that Thane should also be on the 21 table. I have a heavy emphasis on Solo play, with a lot of experience on Duo, Trio and smallman. Thanes don't get picked up for 8man, but I have experience there also.

it's the one major factor that I'm not rolling one on Phoenix. I'm just tired of being in the position where I'd have won a fight purely because my melee ability let me down.

Considering we don't have any of the Style Procs here, I feel that Thane just isn't in a position to compete.

This is all probably correct, and I appreciate you putting it all down to see Loko, but what we need is a confirmation from the GMs, because there is a lot of speculation about the Thane (and even questions about the VW as I have seen). I would just like to see something from them.../looks toward the GMs.

Only the 2 listed changes were done to damage tables, all other values were not changed.

Thx gruenesschaf, but just to confirm, Thanes are still 18 axe/sword and 19 hammer?
