Ice Giants weren’t dropping any XP items for me. One hour of killing OJ mobs dropped none.

I think the list is wrong. It should say Snow Giants.

Maybe a translation error?

unless that list got changed since i printed it the FrostGiants in Yggdra at 18k 20k are correct (or was it 20k 18k ... can't check currently)

There are also slightly lower Ice Giants, that looks exactly the same a bit closer to Vindsaul. They did not drop (but i only killed about 10)

I also saw snowgiants, that looked exactly the same.

Probably where the confusion is coming from

Confirmed that Vial of Icy Water is Snow Giants at 45k 30k.

10 to 20 is so fast that running around for task items would actually make you lose levelling speed.

Also be aware that by now all the RvR guys know all the xp item spots in Uppland and Yggdra and during the last 4 days I could at no time play longer than 20 minutes without being ganked. So if you start to con green to 50s (at level 38 iirc) these are pretty much out of the window if levelling speed is what you are after.

I found this list to be utterly wrong on everything except location and GENERAL mob level.. many of the exp item levels are off by many levels which makes this guide kinda useless unless you are looking for a spot to exp.

Hi Guys, I haven't played in some time. Some friends were interested in either returning to or checking out DAoC. I want to make sure I understand the current state of leveling in the game. Are these task items still active/the best way to level? I also saw (this post on reddit and wondering if mob-type is the way to go instead, or if there is cross-over between the two benefits. I played Hib when Phoenix launched so am unfamiliar with the MId nuances.

edit: also found this video for midgard levelingAshmir's 8 tips for faster leveling

I guess I just want to know if these guides are still relevant, or if anything has changed with the leveling experience in the past year
