Is there a way to disable the setting for the camera to auto snap back to the front? I like to look around and would prefer the camera to not snap back when I move or let go of my mouse buttons. I could not find this setting.

It's somewhere in the in-game options, I think where you can set names to on/off, music/sound level, etc. My recommendation is to turn snapback off, and then go to keybindings and set a mouse button or keyboard key to "reset camera". If you have to set a keyboard key then you can set a mouse button to that key and have all of your camera control still on your mouse
