New Account or PW Not Correct

Just made a forum account: "Naos Stulos"

Cannot log in to launcher, getting Invalid Account/PW
Double and triple checked PW and now I'm locked due to login attempts.

Is it the space in the Forum name not meshing with the server login?

It may be the password. The forum allows for special characters in the password and the Phoenix Shard Servers do not

Thanks for the FYI. Just double checked and no special characters.

15 character PW, all letters upper/lower case and numbers.

Maybe the PW length?

Well, there's a quick way to check that. You could go ahead and reset/change your password.

Logout of the forums
Click forget password
Follow instructions in the email
Once logged back in, click your profile name in the upper right
On the left hand side, click profile and then click edit account settings

Fair enough.

Changed to 10 character PW, all letters upper/lower case and numbers.

Same error.

It's got to be the space in the name as an invalid special character, IMO.

Making another Forum account on this IP could be perceived as multi-boxing. So I don't want to test that.

Don't want to be banned before even logging in

You kind of have to log in to the game and do something before you can get banned. I think you have the solution to your own problem.

Logging in incorrectly 3 times within a certain amount of time locks you out from doing so again for a while.

Waiting and trying again after changing my password gave me an Incorrect Password or Username error again after the login lock expired.

I'm not sure the best way to contact moderators, but they have a discord channel and you could try an instant message to them on there.

I'll PM a mod and see if I can get this issue looked at. Thanks for your help.

I'm on here often, so if it's something (information-wise) we could have provided. Please let me know

Best of luck!

Mods can only edit, lock and delete posts on the forum. You are going to want to contact a GM or Admin for anything to do with an in game problem.

I hope you are using the phoenix.exe in your daoc folder to login, not the camelot.exe.

Hahaha, I certainly hope so, but what a hoot if they aren't.

Things I've learned today:

Do not PM Mods for issues not related to the Forums specifically.

Look at what shortcut you are using to log in /facepalm

Do not try to manually patch, it will lock up oddly enough and you will have to re-install.

Follow the directions exactly as the Main Site tells you.

I'm very glad you posted to make sure you use "PHOENIX.EXE" --- doh, i had this same error too. Simple mistake. Thanks Forums!
