New character

I'm trying to make a new character but every time i press continue, nothing shows up on my character select screen in that slot? are there some kind of restrictions to making new characters?

I figured it out. But why the hell cant i make 2 shamans? 2 healers? 2 thanes? what if i want 2 different clerics? at 2 different levels? what if i want a character to stay in BGs while another one up to lvl 50?

this is dumb. i'm confused and a bit upset. please change this.

What you're encountering is most likely this: http://playphoenix.wiki/phoenix-class-race-combinations/

Phoenix shard plays on a certain patch; however, live is on a later patch. You're trying to use combos that aren't available at this patch level and those races/classes cannot be removed from the creation screen.

okay i understand, sorry i was a bit confuzed lol i was trying to make a dwarf shaman to introduce my girlfriend to the game on her norsewoman warrior... thanks for clearing that up!

I have had several instances where i create a character with allowed race/class combo and nothing happens. It just goes back to character select screen with no new char there. It never happens more than 1 time in a row. So the second time I try always works.
