My household has 4 adults and 3 players, were all on the same realm to prevent the cross realming concerns, Is this going to end up in a ban scenario for all of us or are we safe to continue playing the game together ?

We played Eqemu's for Everquest and several had their own unique rules etc and we dont want to violate them just want to enjoy the game.

All same realm is good, if someone has to AFK for more than 10 minutes they should log out. I would add, don't act like a bot and it will be fine. If you act like a bot, you may get tested. (I play in a house with 3 accounts, we have been fine. Got tested once in beta)

I plan to introduce my girlfriend into the game but she is not that savvy so when some1 would pm her in game or ask to do ABC she won't even notice it....In what consists such a GM test?

Most likely, the first step will me a message from a GM. Some thing like, "Hello, are you there?" If no answer within a few (very few) minutes both of your characters will be pulled into GM jail where you will be asked to do some tasks that are easy if there are players at both computers and almost impossible for one person to do.

You have a high risk of being banned if she doesn't respond to GM messages.

Don't give her a char that basically acts like a bot when playing normally, to reduce the risk of a false detection

such a char will not rise her interest in the game much anyways (i would think)

Easy answer is have her play a melee toon and you play the healer.

Excuses? if you have the LFG or advice chat enabled in a general message tab i wanna see you noticing something in between that spam. Especially when you play for the first time you are focused on the toon and not on the small chat with character size of 11px

Anytime I've seen messages sent from GMs it's been very noticeable in the chat box. While the rules are strict (for good reason), I'm sure people in this given situation will have a proper opportunity to prove they are not botting/multi-boxing.

You are fine to play with multiple accounts from the same household (IP) as long each character is controlled by a different person. Someone of our team might cross your families way to verify that you stick to our server rules.
As a general advice,: If any of your families characters will be AFK for a longer time period (10+ min) you should log it.

Whenever our team is checking if someone is violating our account policy every non-afk player will see it instantly, don't worry.
Same advice regarding the AFK when you both play at the same time.
