How did cure-NS change specs on healer classes?

I'd say most of the Clerics, druids and Healers(lets just talk about augH not pacH for now) are more focused on buff specs than heal specs on uthgard.
Giving 40 on heal spec just meant 100% rez, and better buff would be more effective.

I'm wondering if putting 40 on heal spec for 3.5 sec cure NS on Phoenix is crucial or not.
What do you guys think who played beta?
Is it worth giving up some buff specs, or is it just ok with 6 sec cure NS you get on 20 heal spec?

As a pac healer it depends on your Aug healer. 36p40m will likely be the standard pac spec but of your group allows your Aug to be clear to clear ns I like 44pac for the extra instas. Mids biggest issues will be free bards sorc thurg eld can. Having multiple instas to stop cc and ns are invaluable.

As Aug 40 ot 41 mend will be the norm.

In practice (during beta), I found that not having the faster cure NS was a bigger detriment to the group than not having better buffs (especially since everyone could just use their buff charges).

For a while, I even went with 43 rejuv / 32 enh. The faster/cheaper heals were super nice.

IMO in every group should be 1 Healer/Cleric/Druid that have 40 in Healspec.
And i dont see any problems to reach this.

Midgard: every Aughealer went 40 Heal even on Uthgard. 40Mend/36 Aug was the normal Spec. So you dont lose anything here.
Albion: 1 Buffcleric for better Specs, 1 Healcleric for the better CureNS, dont see any problems here either. Yellow S/C is on 35 Buff.
Hibernia: This might be the hardest option. Either you got 1 Buff Druid , 1 Heal/Nurt druid. Or you even got a 40 Reg, 36 Nature Druid. to get the Cure NS.

The group 8 ran with always had one of the healers with the 40 mend/reg/rejuv cure NS spell. I was specced 42 enh/33 rejuv on my cleric and when I was on NS cure duty it was very difficult to pull off, 75% of the time I would get amnesia’d during the cast (a smart sorc/bard/healer) will notice the long cast and know you are trying to cure NS).

Not much of a change for me. My cleric has always been 40 rejuvenation since the early days of the original game mostly for the 100% rez and the improved spread heal in contrast to non 40+ rej.

Will be interesting to see if for alb and hib this means taking 2 clerics/druids in a group, one for heals and one for buffs/backup heals. In Mid if a group needs red celerity means it's a melee group and clearing NS on melee doesn't do much.

Is it worth for a meleegrp to go red cele instead of the NS cure (assuming 2healers)? The healers/shaman also get fucked hard by nearsight? (serious question, i dont know myself)

Well if it's a melee group, the shammy is probably buff spec, so won't be doing much range damage, the healer is aug based, the only bother is not able to single heal effectively, but they still have group heal, spread heal, DI, etc.

And if I remember correctly, purge also clear NS in worst case scenario.

yeah that sounds reasonable, good arguments, thanks for the explanation
