Any ideas what works for alb 8man?
Are paladins viable?
Caster/hybrid/tank setups?

Several hybrids like Pally, Reaver and Friar being able to get 50% from Det seems like it will shake up the normal group setups a bit.

The problem is utility where it takes 4-5 alb classes to equate to 1-2 mid/hib classes.
The devs don't understand this even after 17 years and think giving them more spec points, determination, and giving them an irrelevant dps increase (LOL) somehow addresses some of the issues of the paladin problem. Spoiler alert, only determination helps and only slightly. The rest of it is lipstick on a pig, as the saying goes. It's entirely useless.
Now, a Paladin as a solo duelist may be mildly interesting now. But if they are good in that domain people will simply stop attacking them.
So only caster compositions will be serious in alb. That is Cleric, Cleric, Minstrel, Sorc (core) then probably Cabalist, Theurgist, Wizard/Shield(Arms/Merc) and another caster of choice depending on needs and goals. Nearsight is going to reign supreme since heavies and light tanks will be moving nonstop, the only way to counter them is to functionally eliminate their back lines. After people figure all of this out, only Midgard will be running successful tank groups. Well, and 1-2 tank-centric groups that reached high realm rank before people figure out all of this.
None of that will change the fact that the designers have no idea what they're doing. Nor will it make Paladins relevant... at least not in competitive rvr groups. Who cares about everything else? It's single handedly the reason I will not be playing Albion.

Scouts are viable, but no self respecting group who has any aspirations is going to group one.

Why would you take a cabalist in that caster group when Wizards get elemental debuff and nearsight? Cleric, Cleric, Sorc, Minstrel, Theurgist, I understand...but if you are going caster group I would think two Earth/Ice wizards for the nearsight and 50% ice debuff (15 seconds in length) to debuff the 2 wizards baseline ice dd and the baseline Theurgist ice dd would be more beneficial than a cabalist.
