I use a gaming keyboard and mouse and i wonder just how strict should i read rule 5? would a single keystroke twisting chants be over the line? would using the keyboard/mouse features in any way at all be considered a third party program? i apologize if this issue has been addressed, but i don't wish to break any rules as a guest on your server.

Thank you

Imo, it is pretty clear regarding your specific question about Chants.
That would require delays and repeat and is a clear violation.

Afaik your keyboard/mouse functions would be a third party tool, but third party tools are not mentioned in the rules, so i am under the impression that you can use them to have multiple actions activate on a single keypress (for example, weapon switch, stick and slam all on one button should be allowed).

wouldn't weapon switch stick slam -- require a delay?

afaik not, as long as the target is already in range (but i haven't tested that specific macro)

the thing is that even if you deem something to be happening "at the same time" it is still a number of orders done behind each other. Since none have a casttime, you don't need a delay, you just have to get the order right

You need a delay for that, otherwise it is a gamble if the slam goes off or not, since in 50% of the cases you will still have your 2h equipped.

Would targeting nearest realm mate and using Guard ability require a delay? Or could I bind that to 1 key?

How about just testing it?

And maybe getting permabanned? No thx

you can test if it works without a delay...

why would that get anyone banned?

This is slightly silly because just about everything need a delay. Whether it's .05 Ms or .3 Ms... Your computer reads the Info too fast

I spoke to staff about this. And it was very clear: A Delay is considered cheat even if its 1ms inbetween buttonclicks in a macro.

- Therefore binding multiple keys to a single button will most likely require you to hotwire your keyboard.

Can someone show me an example of how you would bind multiple actions to a key?

Logitech gaming software has it for their gaming keyboards. I can basically load a entire atk rotation to 1 button click.

A legit two actions to one key without delay would be something that is binary - eg same key for mez or Demez and the target determines which action is performed. Last time I tested did not require delay. But who knows.

couple times i saw my group members were firing all chants at once so i asked if it was legal, they've addressed rule 5..
- 5. Hotkeys to auto queue attacks or spells, or any other action which we determine as an unfair advantage to your character.
(It is allowed to bind multiple actions to a key, however, delays, repeats, and conditions are strictly forbidden, as well as any other action that allows unattended game-play)

then i was given this YT link below as an example, i guess this is what you asked. at 0.30 one key fires all chants etc (no pointing names or flaming just sharing what i was given)
