Strictly Hib Guilds?

So I've been playing a bit of i50 and I must say, as usual, we are the least populated realm. No big surprise there, unfortunately. Add in some of the elitist attitudes of the current players and I doubt this will change much.

Just wondering if there are any guilds preparing for release that plan to be playing Hib the entire time and want to focus Hib land defense. Folks focused on keeping our keeps and attempting to hold Hib Frontiers under our control even with all the zergs. Guilds open to old players playing new classes, working on 8v8 as well as zerg content and interested in working together with guild members and realm members.

Hi Cramit845!
I'd look up anyone from Gold And Ale, or maybe Draghtu and see if they fit the bill for you. The leader of Gold and Ale (Kaosfury) is an awesome guy and his guildies are a fantastic bunch of folks. He streams daily so you can see if they are your cup o' tea before you buy.

I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield!

I appreciate the options. Although knowing Kaosfury from Uthgard, not sure I could deal with him on a regular basis. Thanks though.

Yea. Folks either Love Me Or Hate Me, Not much in the middle, hopefully you find what you're looking for captain. To edit, and continue on, there's many other people in The Guild besides me, I really hate for anybody to miss out on good friendships because I'm a little outspoken, but still respect your decision none the less

And certainly appreciate the kind words Tamlan

It's kind of strange that you'd post something so sneeringly insulting in post where you pretend to be interested in Hibbie pride.

It's not "elitist attitudes." It's emain. There's a lot of bickering on public chat channels where we're getting nasty with each other when it has nothing to do with any Hibbie players, attitudes, classes, or whatever. It's simply that Hibernians have the farthest to run by several times over and therefore require more coordination to participate in the fight where one can roll Mid or Alb and walk stealthed with no speed to the other realm's mile gate in less than 10 minutes. The fact that people do keep playing Hibernia is a testament to its great realm dynamics otherwise.

As I post this, from the new website: Albion: 120 Midgard: 81 Hibernia: 62

That says more about Emain than it says about Hibernia.

Your right, it was insulting. It is frustrating when hib is a great realm and all you hear in groups or in public channels is the bickering and bullshit. I know we have the longest run and for the most part, most people who play daoc know it as well. So acting childish or nasty to other folks and chalking it up to "we have to run far, so we can act like this" is a really lame excuse. More coordination would require better teamwork and badgering folks typically won't get you there.

In my experience, it turns way more people off than on and the realm continues to hemorrhage more players. Happened on Uthgard and it seemed like some hib guilds hated each other more than their enemies. This is just beta so shouldn't be a big deal but Im hoping to find a group of players that don't act in this manner for release.

Your still correct though, it is a great testament to its great realm dynamics.

Never hate. Had a good time hanging with you on Uthgard beta before release. Sometimes you just go over board for me, thats all.

I second the Gold and Ale and Draghtu.

I was an alb player all my DAOC career, joined G&A and haven't had an issue at all. Very accommodating group.

Im sure there will be a lot more guilds out there at Launch. Right now I know the Draghtu/Gold and Ale squad seem to be a good fit for anyone that can get over past Drama. New server, new chance!
