Best stealther hunter/killer (that's not a stealther)

Just found this server recently and am excited about trying this updated classic server.

With all the changes that have been made, and with stealthers being so popular, what does everyone think are the best classes (and specs) to fight stealthers and why. Thanks!

Can't see them while stealthed but I think Light Tanks are the best Stealther killers once they're unstealthed.

Dark SM because (very fast) pbaoe mezz (you dont need to SEE them to mezz them), strong lifetap and a 75% chance to not be hit (pet intercept).

Friar because just try.

For Hibernia who knows i guess i would try a Warden.

Make a highlander crush Merc, run with a Med shield out, hope they think you are a cleric.

My reaver seemed pretty effective, in the small time I played it, against them, the PBAOE chants are useful for popping them.

Could try running a visi assassin, but that is sort of a cheat.

You're not going to kill the stealth zergs on any class :^) don't expect 1vs1's here.

I do not recomend cloth casters for trying to solo stealthers, as the vast majority of the time they are not solo. Additionally, the damage from crit strikes here is insane, if your purge is down it is not likely you will even be able to solo one ns/sb/inf if they open on you and you're wearing cloth.

I solo a Necro (Dreadpool) and rarely, if ever lose 1v1 to a stealther. Not many have the balls to even try anymore. Most the time 2 will kill me unless they're terrible. I have never beaten 3. Just love fighting an assassin only to see 3,4, or 5 more show up and f me up good and fast. That's some real skill there I tell ya..

Well tbf you shouldn't ever lose to any sneak 1v1 on a necro. I've landed pa/CD and rotated all my poisons on a necro including disease and a bunch of dots and he life taps right through my damage and kills me. The only way to kill a necro as a sneak is to bring 2 sneaks.

From time to time I have killed things solo on my pain necro.

But I have also been killed by even solo sneaks.

But for every time I killed a sneak solo I get rolled by small man or 8 man, 3 or 4 times.

Killing a stealther 1 on 1 is one thing...

"Hunting" them is a different story.

I would think a minstrel, skald, or reaver would be good options....maybe a necro as well.

Minstrel not really - weapon damage is mediocre and all the tricks require a pet or friends to help. Shadowblades and nightshades will tear you up.
Skald yes - 1v1, 2v1 maybe with purge and ip up. depends on Stuns etc
Reaver - yes

Problem is hardly any assassins run solo - we've run into many small and fg camping milegates and roads.

Stealthlore should help - but man i would love an inquisitor class - sword and pistol lol.

Hunting stealthers actively you need GTAE or at least PBAE effects to unstealth them...then zerg them down with whatever

There are few solo-stealthers so 1vs1 is imo not a expectation that should define classpicking
