Active RA revamp

Just submitting an idea, some actives RA are very useless at first ranks that's why they are not played or too expensive to get a decent effect.
I'm talking about things like volcanic pillar, anger of gods, vehement reneval, decimation trap,dashing defense, soldier's barricade, etc...
Why not thinking about a revamp on the model of purge?
Set the same effect at any rank of the RA (maybe something like lvl 4 of it) and reduce cooldown on 15,12,9,6,3min for each rank.
For example a Juggernaut 1 will gave +20lvl to pet with a reuse of 15min,and Juggernaut 5 gave +20lvl too, but reuse would be 3min.

Nice idea and sounds entertaining. I just dont know how it affect groupsetups and stuff....
And i guess its a little too progressive to confince community or staff from this idea.
Maybe it make op-classes more op?

But still a nice idea, maybe in this overhauling-process are some RA reworked, which not doing what they should.

Is a nice idea but would definitely need a huge brainstorm (no, not the lurikeen) to avoid collateral effects, for example for me would already more than enough to cut and shorten the level of Active RAs, from 5 to 3 for example, with the redistribution of point needed, taking purge as example you would cut to 3 lvl as per below:
Purge 1: no delay, 15 min CD - 5 pts
Purge 2: no delay, 10 min (or 7.30) CD - 7 pts
Purge 3: no delay, 5 min CD - 8 pts

Is just an example of a possible Active RA compression, maybe a bad idea as probably some classes, relaying a lot on Active RAs, would benefit more than others from this change.
Anyway, would like to follow the discussion about it

On my ranger, I would rather have IP 2 (35%) every 7mn30 instead of IP 3 50% every 15mn.
It would make soloing easier for a lot of class, they would not have to way 15mn in the keep for RA to come back, and it would not be broken.

Here the whole problem with /use ra’s....I’d rather see a move/change that keeps people out in the fray.

Maybe passives need a slight boost so Timed RA aren’t so prevalent

I disagree with this.

Making all active on shorter timers will move this server into even more of a dump fest than it is now.

OF RAs were good because there were really powerful RAs (too powerful) on 30 min timers. While some of them were "I win" abilities, at least you had to think to use them.

Same goes with active RAs. The goal isn't to have purge and IP in every single fight, the goal is to have to think if using IP is the way to go in that specific fight.

Decreasing timers on RAs increases the RR gap people always complain about.

I'd rather fight people that have a slightly better IP then mine, but that's not always up. Me being smarter and preserving my RAs for the right moment requires way more awareness than being r11 and dumping all.my RAs on every fight cause they'll be back in 5 minutes.


You already see it with purge. It is astonishing the percentage of players that burn purge on numb. After 20 years, you'd think people would recognize the animation of numb vs the animation of slam. When purge was on a 30 min timer, man you sure thought about it twice.

If the point is to always have every RA always up in every fight, might aswell just remove them and go without.

If prople sit in keeps waiting on timers instead of going out with purge down, then it's their problem

The aim is to have them more often, but have their effects on a fight less drastic...
It just make some class useless for 15mn = less action in solo. Why moc is 10mn but IP 15?

It's already the case, so you fight them with everything up anyway...

That's exactly why i spoked of "disliked RA", not for IP, purge, vanish and other stealthers'love. Some active RA are already OP and don't need changes,some other are weak and useless on first ranks, and need an expensive amount of RPs to get a decent effect. My proposition was only for that kind.
