In game channel confusion

Just want to offer official suggestion here because I’m getting mixed messages about what can or should be said in /lfg or /advice. I have been told /advice is for general chat and also ONLY advice.

I agree it doesn’t make sense to be anything but advice but for the love of sanity just make a global /general channel everyone joins by default for chit chatter.

I want to second this clarification.
Daoc just miss the half fun when im not able to read or write in a free channel.
I love the drama and ofc there should be a very light moderation in case of rassism and such.
But when 2 or more players rant i want to read this!

I don't want my chat screen polluted by two people's bickering, bitching, or any other epeening contest. However, I miss out on information if it's disabled.

/advice is the general chat
/lfg is for lfg only

The reason for /advice being the general chat is that the client only supports a few channels and you absolutely need client side support for the general chat so that people can disable it.

Then you need to inform your game masters of this, I was told two days ago this was not the case.

If there are any problems, feel free to PM here or on Discord. But please no public blaming. Thank you.

Just a sidenote. Even if the advice channel is a general channel, it doesnt mean that we want you to discuss anything there. It should always be daoc-related.
