Specs for the brave at heart - Phoenix Freeshard

I love doing things off META. like... really off META.

If you know me, you know I'm a smiter, which is incredibly frowned upon but I have fun with it and I think that's all that should matter.

What are some other class specs that no one should do, but would be hilarious to see out in RvR?

PS I'm about to respec my armsman to 50 xbow.

14 PF, Visi Ranger (16 Stealth), using DA charge for Archery and melee. It's amazing but the only reason I stopped playing the Ranger is because there are too many Rangers right now.

Now I'm playing a 35 Shield 44 Thrust 50 DW Merc =)

My buddy is starting up a thrust merc for that spec too!!

I've always loved the idea of a visi melee ranger, just never did it!

In a Visi group the benefits of PF go out the window. I just have 21 PF for the 90 seconds when the DA buff isn't up and for the speed boost to catch runners or to catch an Inc tank to peel them. The spec I love using is:

50 CD
39 Blades
35 bow (for rapid fire interrupts)
21 PF
16 Stealth

I use all CD styles except for the ASR in Blades and it's very group friendly with plenty of melee CC/peels (side stun and rear snare, and you could also ASR an Inc tank) respectable melee DPS and of course ranged interrupts. Any race works but I prefer Celt to blend into the other members of the group. I might go back to Hib if the Ranger population drops a bit to non-insane levels.

No flex reaver. Something like 50 shield, 41 SR, 39 weapon, rest parry. Probably thrust to stack as many bleeds as possible and slowly whittle down your enemy.

Unfortunately at this patch level certain classes just dont have the utility to go outside the cookie cutter specs and still be effective.

It truly is. Aside from no Det it's one of the best group classes that doesn't get invited to groups. Scouts also have the highest block rate in the whole game which is great news for anyone they're Guarding

It's not very good.. i built 2h savage on last exp event hits too weak. Which sucks but is true.. you do get better styles away from h2h as it really only has evade style and backhit going for it with no positional snares... the 2h bonus on this server is pathetic it's not worth it. Growth rates on h2h styles are ridiculouly high

Yeah okay, lol, not possible. What's your weapon speed and your quickness? Also what savagery spec.

You realise to hit 1.5 speed you would have to be using a 4.1 speed weapon with 250quickness & highest level savagery buff. AFAIK fastest 2h is Gazsi axe with 4.2speed.

i did 50 blunt spec on warden during the beta but the spec is not viable anymore since there is no block anymore and everyone has at least purge2

in beta it was hilarious because you could stun enemies for 10s and heal up completly plus had the chance to IP... warden was a pretty tanky class there

I'm only seeing a 10 second stun on the follow-up to the parry style. What was different about beta?
