Going to close this thread now as it is only getting off topic and into personal insult. Also Midgard seems to be back on the battlefield. So everything is fine and nothing to see here anymore.

While that post certainly needed to go, gotta say the ' Everything is fine' part is a bit problematic...everything is NOT fine. 20 mins of decent action immediately followed by the plethora of HIBS turning into a plethora of ALBS <again> just doesnt seem fine --- seems more like live.

Mid player was problem etc etc etc ... a par of truth in there because last night not many Mid people we defended the relick hammer ...

Midgard Come back in Game, its truth for 1 night or maybe 2 with Runental who spent all his energy for lead. Thx again Runental and Other Leader on Mid

but above all I did not say that it is a problem of the nerves that must be reworked, and reduce the time of cross realmers ...

I hear this all the time, and I just wanna add my two cents.

Nobody (as far as I know) is asking for staff to *force* people to play mid. Of course they can’t do that. People decide for themselves where they want to play.

What they most certainly CAN do is *incentivize* people to play on the underpopulated realm, whichever realm that happens to be at a given time. There’s a variety of ways that can be done, so I won’t go too heavily into specifics, but I think it’d work best when done on a sliding scale, so the incentives get bigger the more unbalanced we are, and fairly minimal the closer we come to equality.

True and we have seen how large an incentive was needed to <momentarily> produce some numbers balance; perhaps that should stimulate a look at OTHER decisions made <or not made> that may have affected the overall balance issues. One could even say perhaps consider responsibilities outside of simply where people choose to play to include the why's.
