I must finally admit it: I suck at DAOC.

This damn game.

I suck at it.

I try to solo with Berserkers.

I try to kill stealthers while playing cloth casters.

I slightly panic when I try to stick to the leader of my group (don't even have Stick bound to a key)

I'm a mess. I like melee the best even they don't get charge and are more or less cannon fodder. But that doesn't stop me from complaining when a Minst kites me with ease.

I want to play a stealther but the thought of swapping weapons gives me anxiety.

I hate it. It really humbles you. I don't even know if I want to get gud. I just want to have fun but you can't have fun if you suck.

Maybe I'm meant for Candy Crush. Maybe I should be doing my taxes instead of chasing lurikeens around a fictional world.

Maybe I'll just roll another alt. That's probably what I'm missing. I'm just playing the wrong class is all - it's not me, it's the class. Yeah, that's it.

This is coming from a rr10 ns, i feel ya. Solo on this server is down right brutal regardless of class. It can be discouraging, but if you truly want to play solo I would pick a class that excels at it. Shade minst skald are all options that come to mind. Also go to the daoc char planner when you're board and read through any class you aren't familiar with. The best players in this game that i have met generally earn their edge (at least in part) through knowledge of limitations/strengths of other classes.

Edit: forgot to mention if you have a mouse with extra side buttons, bind your face and stick keys to those. It's helped me immensely.

Probably just to lazy to use macros and hardware to get the most out of a class

I don't want to move my fingers too much.

I am lazy - but I'd say it's the other way around. I use macros and mouse button bindings because I'm lazy.

My Savage runs his self buffs off two mice buttons - one for both offense buffs, the other for defensive buffs. Because I can't just press 4 separate keys every 15 seconds because I just want to unwind from a long day of being a wage slave, ya feel me? My fingers deserve a beer - I don't want to be a south korean with 200 kpm.

I'd argue that macros makes you more lazy. You could just press a button and have several savage buffs fire instead of pressing them individually. I'm not knocking macros or laziness btw haha..
