Necro "Pet" level increase

Unlike traditional pet classes, the Necromancer in DAoC is "solely" reliant on his summoned servant. One of the big reasons you don't see many Necromancers in RvR, especially solo is that their servant is classified as a blue con mob to all level 50 players. This servant takes a tremendous amount of magic damage being blue con. Without the servant, the Necro isn't a player. Why exactly is the Necro servant blue ? I agree, with a buffbot, vs. solo/duo/trio stealthers they shine with their self abs and cleric buffs, but that isn't the case on Phoenix. Heck, the Necromancer can't even use combined forces buffs that everyone else can.

Just a thought, perhaps can we "test" making the Necro servant level 50? I mean a Mins can have a red pet , and they are still able to stun, DD, SoS if they lose that pet. Not so a Necromancer.

I'd be very much interested in hearing how we can make the Necromancer more viable for solo/group play.

please no! did you ever fight against a necro solo? you basicly can sit down if you are a pure melee

as a necro, have you ever fought against a caster? 50 caster + blue mob = really quickly dead necro

might as well just sit down.

Not true..
Any cc (especially long stun) and the necro is either dead (if enough burst) or can sprint away. I play necro in RvR and the main reason I get any kills solo is due to greedy people standing to to toe and not stunning or mezzing at all. I never, and I mean never resist a casted cc of any kind (unless immune). I have full resists and AOM2. I do sometimes parry and attemp9snare or side stun(that's pretty rare though)
Overall raising the pet to 50 for testing would be a good thing. If it's to OP, adjust it down..

blue con mob with no buffs, fighting a fully buffed level 50 player. Either change the servant level to 50, or allow the combined forces buffs to apply to the servant. Once again, seeing a necromancer in RvR is a rarity.

The Devs have done more for this class mechanically than has ever been done before, just needs to be adjusted for RvR survivability now.
