When it was a problem for Hib it wasn't a problem. When it's a problem for Mid THEN it's a problem. Oh well. I'll take advantage of it and level my Mids now lol

Can we see the numbers/evidence for this?

In game right now it's: 264a, 250m, 290h

50% rp/bp bonus seems ridiculous for something like a 5-10% underpopulated mid realm when compared to alb.

@uthred what is after this 7 days for Midgard, will the counter start at zero for Midgard too, or will this bonus stay untill the next realm reach this underpop time?

Actually if i understood it correctly, this was introduced to repopulate mid and mid BG(zerg).
But there is a problem. This 50% rp buff is affected only when you kill someone.
So actually mid zerg BG is not getting that much advantage.

/stats player pilzpower : over 10k/hour, he almost reached 15k/hour yesterday.
/stats player mid players : it is like 3k/hour.

You need to kill someone to get that 50% bonus, but do you think mid zerg can win hib zerg atm?
They kill 10 ppl at best while 60 ppl wipe.
So the result of their rps are very poor.
And hit & run strategy(take tower and run) doesn't affect rp buff, so only solos and task chasers benefit from this atm tbh.

CLEARLY you are not playing Midgard RvR - oh wait. Is there such a thing outside of a roaming 8 man who had to beg a shadowblade to join them? lol.

I can see this buff making the imbalance even worse, the population increase was noticable on mid last night with people chasing the bonus, hib however still dominated the frontiers and if the population trend continues, when the bonus shifts after the monthly average then the buff chasers will jump ship again, if it ends on hib then the current state will be even worse.

We dont know yet, what will happen after the 7 days. We are monitoring the population and hopefully the population will become a bit more even. We have different options and will decide after that 7 day period is over, what/if to do next.

Seems an ill considered solution. Mids problem seems to be primarily an unwillingness to often form a BG and take and defend keeps. Just giving an RP bonus isn't going to shift many mids from their roaming groups and flag capture activities, it may actually encourage that behavior. Maybe no flags, no 8vs8 support, no EV, if you don't hold most of your home territory and give the bonus RPs only for killing an enemy player while attacking or defending a keep.

There are more players roaming around solo, smallmen, fg`s than running with the BG. (If there is a BG)
If you wanna make them stop playing go on with your suggestions.

It is no server or mechanics problem.

So if i resume,

Hib have perma 25% rp bonus from keep because they have 40 keep every days.
Mid have a 50% bonus rp/xp/bp .
Alb have ... ?

At least you should try to make something for alb too or the population will be between hib and mid.

You'd think but Clerics are always up there on one of the most played classes. Using the same logic that people apply to the amount of Rangers, I would say that means Clerics are overpowered and need nerfing.
