Hi guys,

Anyone played Valewalker during this patch so far and know if they any good?

In 8v8 situations are they accepted into a 8man or some other classes preferred?

A well played vw is very good and i think with a decent rr and some reputation, you can fill easily a dd slot or backup peeler in 8 man
Good solofarmer for ora mobs but you lack speed.

VW is a really bad peeler: No snare available except the insta one from Arboreal-spec which is affected by determination/stoicism and has a 20 sec CD. VW has back- and side-stun which is cool but nothing special when the alternative peeler has anytime stun (slam) and melee-snares.

Damage from procs is great but 3rd in side-chain means you won't be doing many of them in real RvR and because they're PBAoE there are situations where they are not useable (breaking mezz/root on nearby targets).

2 ranged instant interrupts sounds cool except 1 provides free snare-immunity and the other is a DoT which generally is a bad idea if you want to mezz/root/snare them later on. Arboreal lifedrain DD is obviously very good

Playable, but blademaster would be the safe bet if you do not know any people to play with. Way easier to get an invite. And while 2 blademaster (or even more) are common in groups, noone will play with more then one valewalker. so again, if you rely on random invites, go with a blademaster if you don´t want to wait to long for an invite.

Its an unreliable source of dissease if you want to drop the eld from your tankgrp

While I don't dispute all of the above is true, I have seen at least 2 different VWs running around in RvR, (I play Alb) so they exist. I say try one and see how it goes.
