Area solo players

Hi , area for solo players can exist ?
Tired to be zerged by small men or full group .

Those groups have lot of possibility , solo guys can only try to xp kill something .

there was.... hadrians wall and odins gate used to be solo areas but imo the tasks ruined it because everybody is just following the tasks now.
you could try arena fights but there you will only find rr7+ assassins or minstrels with all ras up.... also pretty useless.

You can't have both of two worlds.

Either you pick a zone with plenty of action and many fights, but with the downside of being added on and smallman/fg/zergs rolling past once in a while.

Or you pick a zone with little to no adding, smallman/fg/zergs rolling over you (HW/OG are examples), but with the downside of having a lot of waiting for inc, a lot.

DaoC always been like this, unless we talk about places where people did 1v1, but that's duels with passive spectators and imo goes against the whole concept of RvR.

Towers offered opportunity's for non grouped visible players to fight.

OF has always been like this.

NF had ample opportunity for solo and small man players to avoid getting constantly rolled.

DAoC is an RvR game, not a solo / 8vs8 player Arena style game.

It's just like that and you can't prevent it without killing what makes DAoC.

i heared that alot but nobody could actually explain it. why would there be a solo kill counter and title if the game was not intended to play solo?
show me a statement from mythic where they make that clear please!


and btw yeah in OF emain was always very crowded but you also always found ppl in other zones because some wanted to avoid ther zerg. and espeacialy low ranks, the chance was high to find another lowie there, higher ranks could go straight to emain because they had the tools to compete there. here you make rp by being in a specific zone. you dont even have to kill somebody to gain at least some rp. so everybody is joining the task zerg.
i think you cant compare OF rvr with phoenix.

You do know that the zone specific rvr realm task covers all 3 portal areas right? It's not JUST emain...

Edit: Referring to the domination task zones, then yes they are specific. But that's the whole idea of domination. Same with specific keep takes pr defense tasks. I see no issues here

i know that, but ppl still not going hw or og because no one else is going there, you can literally stay at mmg hw for like an houer and nobody is trying to kill you, thats sad and wasnt like that before tasks were introduced. im not saying the tasks are bad, but it promotes zerging ;(

Just because there's a solo counter it doesn't make DAOC a solo game. It's like saying because Battlefield has a knife kill counter it's a knife combat game.

Part of the thrill of solo is dodging zergs and 8mans. I don't want to sound like a dick but if you can't handle the added risk of soloing then don't solo.

im not saying daoc is a solo game, im saying that it is also a solo game. thats a difference.
i have no problem with dodging zergs, its part of the solo game, but what im trying to say is that besides the zerg its nearly impossible to find anyone else to fight.
what do you mean by "cant handle the risk"? how can anyone "handle the risk" if its always 1vs20? nobody can.

all im saying is that its way harder now to find solos in the not so well populated zones because you dont get the "autoRP" there and therefore nobody wants to go there which is a pitty ;(
