Hi Guys,

as far as i know, back in the days, i cant remember SOS works as some kind of group purge with charge combined and nearly every battle avaiable.

SOS is some kind of emergency call and the base to creat this RA was to escape a dangerouse situation. But on phoenix it is also an offensive RA evrey charakter can use offensive spells or styles with full speed for something like 20s and i am not sure about the downtime but it feels like less then 30 minutes.

So my question is; is this SOS version what we will have after beta?

Kind regards,

pret

It doesn’t work like that - you can still be messed and not able to cast. You’re just not a sitting duck waiting for the pain train

Yeah, sos does not break any kind of cc, it just overrides it for its duration. Just mezz them or let em mezzed and don't hit them. After the duration ends they are just rooted in place and will be cc'ed again

thats how it normally works but not on phoenix... u can mezz them and after sos they still running or dont have any effects.

Well if its like that, that would be a bug or Custom change i don't know about.

Yes, OF SOS is a group purge in a sense. The way it is working now is exactly how it worked with OF. Every player in range is completely "immune" to any affect and have fastest speed without it being interrupted for the duration of the affect.

Have you tested this yourself? When the duration of SOS ends if that use is rooted or mezzed when it ends that user will be mezzed/rooted in place.

If the user gets hit at any time during SOS it will remove the effect (just as if they had the effect without SOS). As long as the person mezzed/rooted is not demezzed or hit during the duration of SOS it should do that affect after the duration of the SOS. This is currently working as intended and why it is one of the strongest RA in the game IMO.

lots of wrong information in here. the way sos works is that everyone gets speed but things like mez and stun will make the target able to run around but still be stunned/mezzed where they cant do anything.

So if you mezz or stun someone with SOS, they can’t attack or do anything, just run around, until the duration of stun is done or until the duration of mez is done? (assuming there was no dmg or demezz)

Is that how I am understanding the above? I didn’t think this was how it worked but I could be wrong.

Hmm interesting, there is some benefit to mezzing and stunning then with SOS up. Good to know. Sorry for the misinformation and if I caused any confusion. Thanks guys!

Yes, still running but not being able to do anything is how it is supposed to work. I remember at one time on live that it was bugged and people using SOS could still cast and attack but that was not how it was intended to work.
