Stealth Detection

Please consider reverting this back to no higher detection rate if other non grouped stealthers are in the shared area.

We have this task system that entinces players to congregate around the flag area. As a soloer this sounds great, but you added stealth detection. So these areas are almost a deterrent.

Why am I punished for non group stealthers being in the same area as I? I suggest this for grouped stealthers only.

If I am missing the benefit please explain it to my like im 5 yrs old, because this change makes little sense for those who solo.

This is a good fix
Stealth detection is higher when high concentrations of ENEMY stealth in area

But you need to allow to see same realm from increased distance so you know to spread out

bad idea. Already people stick to people in stealth just to be dicks or because of their hatred for stealthers and other stealthers telling other realm stealthers where someone is at(yes this is a thing). Also i'm not sure the mechanic even works(or atleast not how they intended) there has been many times i know for a fact i am the only stealther(in my realm) in the area and another realm will roll up 5+ deep and i have to literally step on them to see them. Would be nice if they told us how the formula or w/e they do is suppose to work.

I feel for you.

MMOs should never punish 1 player because of another player's actions.
These Devs have taken similar steps to hurt some players where the original Devs never would have.

Animists are restricted from casting shrooms in an area where other Animists have casted.
Archers can not get the benefit of their Critshot if the opponent has already had a crit affect them.
And now, All stealthers are punished just for being in the proximity of people they may not even see...

The Devs had their reasons but it sux when the rules hurt you for things you can not control.

I'm honestly not sure what the reasoning behind implementing a game mechanic to reduce stealth zerging was to begin with. I mean, /region alone usually makes it obvious where stealth zergs are, and it's strange to deincentivize grouping in an MMO.

I dont mind people sticking to me if they dislike stealthers. I just cant wrap my head around this.

It would make sense for stealth groups to have the detection, but for those who solo it boggles me.

I was at Crim flag yesterday, there were easily 2fg of hib sneaks there. Maybe more. Almost comical.

Y'all need to spread out.

I my only thing for stealth detection is increase it slightly for grouped stealthers as I am usually in their detection range by the time I see the partner.

Increase stealth detection for enemy players, imo.

2 stealthers within 500 unit range, 25% less stealth effectiveness, 4 stealthers 50%, 8 stealthers 90%

Something like that.

Stealthers still benefit from stealth and stealth soloers still get 100% stealth but zerging try hards get seen fairly close up...but generally still avoid FGs and zergs.
