New Player! Need some guidance. :)

Hello everyone!

I've been messing around on Ultima Online freeshards (which I left for DAoC just before the first expansion launched) and came across some people talking about this project. I think it is great! And would like to get involved. I played on Bedevere Hibernia from that time, until a bit after the Minotaur expansion came out. It was my golden age of gaming, and am hoping to relive that now!

I'm looking to play either a Cleric or Druid (kinda leaning Cleric just to see another side of the game) and am looking for a group to pick me up and kinda work me into things. I know it's beta and I know everything will get wiped, but this is a great opportunity for me to knock the dust off and make some friends!

A active player base, just make a toon, and type /advice hey im new, lets rock and roll! in your chat box.

you will get a group, and i am sure people will start to fill you in on the awsome custom features to help you along and get you leveling.

Please be sure to read the server rules, staff are active at all times on the server keeping a eye for fair play and issues.

I didn't have luck in the Advice channel, they told me to come here and post instead.

Is there a place designated for guild recruitment? i may have more luck if I'm picked up by a group?

Save yourself a lot of headache and avoid DAoC priv servers like the plague.

They look great on paper... but 9 months from now you'll just be sitting here wondering.... where is everyone... and why did I waste so much time on this.

Ignore the doomsayer.

There are allredy guilds recruiting for Launch in the apropriate forums.

For me, playing was alwaya best to meet ppl.

Find grps, and when you see some guys from a guild and you like their atitude, just ask for guild. Always worked for me. You can always switch later.

I played back on live for over a decade and my main characters were Clerics (rejuv RR9 & enh RR7) & Minstrel, although I had a toon for every Alb class at 50. We played on Alb/Guin and our guild was Dark Auspices. We are looking to recreate that on this server. We've been playing here for over a month now and we're really enjoying it. The population fluctuates but that's to be expected during beta. Of course there are some glitches but that's what beta is all about.

I would be happy to help you out with your cleric. Feel free to message me here or find me in game. I am on most evenings and some days (NA PST). My main toon is Aste but I also play Astewyr, Astelaine, Asteson - basically if it starts with Aste there is a good chance it is me

Thanks for the input guys!

After two nights of not being able to find a group as a cleric, I jokingly asked in Advice if I'd have better luck finding a group as a druid. People piled on saying I should go do that... so I did. Best advice ever! I stayed grouped all evening and got 3.5 levels.
