Im a newbie and need some help to get started

Hi, im a newbie to this game and haven't a clue what to do. I enter the game facing my trainer. What is supposed to happen? I click on them and I don't get a quest and as I have no skill points I cant learn any skills. I went to the woods to see if I can fight but clicking a mob does nothing? How am I supposed to fight and train?

Ok I have worked out I need to press x to go into attack mode. ignore my stupidness

Equip the shit weapon you get
Go find some blue con mobs
Use the attack button on menu
Start learning to use skills
