Give archers utility. revert the damage. Higher the Skill cap.

i think the issue with the large number of archers is anyone can press one button and do damage. i think the answer to sort archers giving them high damage was a mistake for the mass really. give them special shots. cripple shot, snare shot, poison shot, even pointblank. giving them long range crit shots that hit damn hard and are stealthed bring a mass. because their are people in this game the majority who like a easy life a head slap on the keyboard to kill anything and thats what it currently is.

archers that think yes the class is fixed are kidding themselves just 3 shotting everyone and increasing the stealth numbers to this degree is a joke. i would bet you the higher level players would prefer their class saved decreasing the numbers of the player base so they can feel special again with utility rather than damage. The good archers are gutted about this change no one wants to be flavour of the month everyone playing their class and just ripping up. the solo game is shot. Ive always soloed on a visi and you deal with stealth zergs archers reguarly but this is beyond a joke and i cant see anyway out of it. you have lowerd the damage twice apparantly... and the population has not gone down and they are still hitting as damn hard. revert changes lower their numbers and then think of a better way to improve skill capp with archers. stealth classes should not really be facepalm classes and thats what has been created. Ive got my guild master running 8man scout groups from 8 man visible groups. please sort the situation lol.

Calm your mammaries, archery took a second nerf today. Damage is where it was before this whole shitshow began with a slight increase if you spec 45+ and gimp the piss out of all your other abilities.

Just delete all archers (because they are clearly all tiny pieces of shit and terrible players). Grant them free class respec and keep realm rank and name.

So many whiners about archery.. and now it's nerfed right back down to what it was (nearly).
Utterly pointless "fix".

Meanwhile, Assassins still hit too hard. If anything needs nerf, it's assassins, not archers.

The real issue is people can't see archers if they aren't playing a stealth class (i.e., detect hidden). They don't want to have to think outside of the box of 8 man vs 8 man, or just being able to run around solo without feeling 3 scouts shoot them in the bum. Having to worry about a ranged stealth class forces players to work together more so than before, no longer laughing that a medieval archer might possibly be able to kill them.

The reality is that mmorpgs have historically had issues with how to build an archer class. If you follow reality - then an archer is a deadly ranged professional in any environment. If you look at stealth - well, it was basically created to give people a sense that they are able to hide. There's no tech that allows hiding yet...so stealth has been around for that purpose.

Anyway - with basic thoughts aside as to what to do with an archer class - most spell casters have instant interrupt. Most casters have far more utility with the same if not more damage potential (which is why wild power had to be nerfed because it was getting insane). What a caster can do with a damage debuff and baseline nuke to a tank is something no archer can dream of. And yet - very rarely do I hear 'nerf' casters.

Probably because you can see them - this somehow evens it out. I get it.

Even Warhammer took stealth away from archer classes (brought to you by the creators of daoc) and even Elder Scrolls Online (again, brought to you by daoc creators) decided to just give everyone stealth - to 'even' the playing field. Seeing an orc in heavy plate sneaking is kind of funny - and cheese.

I think again that the answer is people like to be lazy - they don't want to have to deal with a ranged stealth class. You're already looking over your shoulder with assassins, but adding a viable archery class is a pain for you. I get it.

Call it what it is. If you can't handle the ease of destroying an archer than you're doing it wrong. Especially now that you have to have 45 bow and gimp yourself to have NOT caster dps, and totally crap utility - lol.

Seriously. Stop the whining already.
