New Player - End Game Progression Questions

1) Crafting - Was thinking of picking up alchemy. But was wondering if I could also get metalworking up? I notice how active DF is, and I could profit from salvaging so many of the drops.

2) Housing - Without 10 ywain servers, is it possible to find a house for CM on Phoenix?

3) Templating - How difficult to get a temporary template sub RR5-6 / and how expensive can a superior template be for a light mentalist?

4) RvR - is it dominated by zergs / dominated by one group like on live?

5) Raids - I never used to be able to attend raids many years ago due to potato PC, now that I have a slightly better potato PC I can. Which raids should I look out for that would benefit the most in terms of templating / selling / overall fun.

Little background, I just switched from live servers this weekend. Was able to get to 43 in two days, I am astonished by the amount of active players in pve / rvr vs. live. The nostalgia is crazy.

Thanks all!

2) /housing empty will tell you which lots are available and the price for each lot. There have been recent changes to houses not using consignment merchant money to pay rent so in the next month I'd expect more houses to become available, so don't get discouraged if house lots are selling for more than you can afford right now.

3) templating a caster is laughably easy here. You should have no problem making a fully capped weaponless template with 50 utility RoGs and 99 quality armor.

5) Look for galladoria raids and legion raids. Both give good feathers and the credits you'll need to buy the feather items you'll want.

Its very easy to level multiple crafting skills here. You can level your Metal,Wood,Cloth and Leather higher than your main skills and its quite cheap. I suggest doing this so that you can salvage while you farm, then max out any other main skills.

Step 1: Lvl alchemy to 400 //instead of tailor
Step 2: Trinket metal/wood/leather/cloth to 400 (buy the metal bars/wood from NPC, make trinkets, sell back to NPC) //to catch up the leather/clothworking that is missing from tailor 1-400
Step 3: Lvl AC and WC to 300 (which raises metal from 400 to 1000)
Step 4: Lvl tailor to 600 (cloth/leather is now 1000)
Step 5: Lvl fletching to 600 (which raises wood to1000)

I did something similar to step 1 and 2 for cloth, only I leveled Spellcrafting first to get closer to 570 in order to max imbue (with no overcharge) level 51 playermade gear myself. Then I did a couple hundred points in clothworking (can easily do more, I just chose not to)

Tailoring and AC together to 300. Made leather goods from tailor which increases leather and clothworking, then used the completed item as a liner for AC to raise metal.

After that I did WC to 300, making sure to craft Swords to raise metal leather and woodworking. Any recipe will work here as long as it uses all three mats and not just metal/wood.

Then I did Fletching until arrows went gray which is around 545ish. While doing arrows I made bows at a couple points where there was a jump in the craft level required to get to the next arrow type. Fletching bows raises woodworking along with clothworking.

Once all that was done I did a little bit more tailoring to get my clothwork and leather to 1k. The entire process took 3ish hours and was well under 500g

I really appreciate all responses guys, thank you. I made it to L50 in just a couple of days. So while I wasn't salvaging while leveling, I am going to sit and craft and farm a bit to get some funds for template and what not.

Thanks again!
