Poisoned Weapons Assassins only?

Well the patchnotes from 27th stated that only Assassins can use poisoned weapons, that is not 1.65. It does not have a huge impact on rvr, but could decide if i.e. a scout lives or dies.

Do you really want it to only work for assassins? Did I miss anything?

Still gonna make a poison bot, just 2 assasins.

One with 50 poison putting all the poisoned weapons into acc vault
One saving those 629 points and using them on more melee damage ^^

As in you really want everyone to have access to lifebane on every weapon they hold?

Do you really think poisons have no impact in RvR? If they have no impact, why do you want them on characters that shouldn't be using them?

Also, if you think they have no impact, go play an assassin with no envenom and good luck. The debuffs and damage make or break a lot of fights. Giving them to other classes is an unfair advantage. There's a reason they spec in an entire line for access to poison procs.

There was a staff-voting about it and the staff decided that only Assassins can use poisoned weapons.

Thank you staff! I for one love this change but could it be changed to only allow the users to poison their own weapons and trading the weapon removes the poison? In regards to the comment from Ceen, there will still be an issue with this imo.

Please read properly. Never said NO impact. Just not a huge one. Only few players really made the effort, like some Warden on Uthgard... and that's why I say it has not that huge of an impact.

But as the staff decided to drop it there may be no way back... Atm there are just alot and maybe too many costum changes. But we'll see at launch, how it is working out.

Cheers

Wow, very interesting how fast some guys get "offended" here. Think you get me wrong.

I love it here and I love alot of changes they made. And that is why I hope the custom changes don't get out of hand. I want phoenix to succeed and not to be a complete casual Server where you get stomped by "pros" cause it's too "easy"

I'm not offended at all.

I just cannot understand your mindset. The changes made so far are more than reasonable, just remember this is not 1.65, it is based on 1.65 with QoL changes and fixes.

I posted once before that on top of being an assassin to use the poison weapons, it really should still be required to have the right envenom skill tp use the poison weapon as well.

Always though this was a very cheesy way to avoid having your main assassin spend points in envenom and be able to spend in other things.

If you don't have the skill to apply the poison, why is it remotely fair to be able to have someone else apply it for you?

It could just be the person who applies the poison is only allowed to use it.

The only reason I say that is sometimes I make cheap high +envenom gloves to swap on for a sec to apply poisons to my own weapons between fights.

I would be fine with that also.

This was the first proposed solution but as heardstheword said a lot of assassins use a +Envenom skill to apply poisons and switch back to their main suit.

This fix was mainly to prevent abuse of non-assassins using poisons for disease, weapon skill debuff, etc.

I think its wise because of creeping armsrace for everything.

Hold on let me get my friar with the 10 331 dmg instant staffs poisoned with disease.

Whatever, u get the point.
