My Summary if the Event

Firstly thanks for the variety in the event... I enjoyed it but was sad when the event got extended, 3 days is plenty.

—-Previously the Proving Grounds zone had only one issue for me and that issue got worse as you got higher level, and that was: premades. They are unbearable in open field pvp. Which is awesome for them as PuG stomping is a huge RP cow. The only solution (other than going premade, which only makes problem worse for remaining PuGers) I found was to play as an adding archer.

—-So moving to this event we gotta different zone Which had some advantages. Most notably two new play styles which dampened the effects of premades... House or tower camping.
House camping was successful especially with animists.
Tower/roof camping was great with casters/thanes.

I enjoyed both then got bored of both. Lol. But I did hear/see a lot of negativity to these play styles also.

—- so future, If we go back to open field map then adding a criteria for grp selection for PuGs (ie, always 1heal+1CC) twould also dampen premade effect, more fun for all. However, would lead to queing for a grp slot (only for DPSs). Whilst queing allow people to go solo and not leave que...
I would love to solo whilst queing for 20mins in the knowledge that when I do get a grp it will be viable.

Alternatively & much more simply you could limit premades to only a grp size of 4 peeps.
Or...allow premades to grp as 3 friends then the 2more get selected outta the PuG pool.

—- if we go back to town map, then it’s hard to think of a way to improve. I do see people getting bored of the best (non premade) strategy = camping though

I liked the house/tower combat. It reminded me a lot of Mordred, however, I dislike the "roofers" as I call them. It also did seem like pre-made groups were slightly less effective. I think that it would probably be difficult to impose restrictions on pre-made groups, though if they were limited to 4 players, I think that would be a good trade-off, five random players or 4 pre-selected players.

An idea that I had was maybe there should be buffs for /autogroup players, maybe while the command is turned on, the players receive the equivalent of a combined resources buff. If someone joins the team that has better buffs, they will overwrite them, but they will always have a bare minimum level of buffs.

It was a lot of fun!

I thought towers were terrible for casters
Targeting was tough as the enemies were hard to target with all the buildings around and Los issues were huge.

I thought it was fun, even on an inf, even though I did get that feel like you were forced to play the event or wait until it was finished due to the population.

this time dealing with premaid was way too annoying.
Personally stopped at lvl 15 of the friar. Don't know how people where able to play for 5+ days like that killing at the same time real RVR.

Not enough solos and duos for BF to zerg down in the frontier really killed the action for you eh

I had a lot of fun in the event. I think obviously the draw here is the instant action and you don’t have to grind to 50 to get it. From a late NA early Euro Time perspective the map was the perfect size. Large enough that the premade could roam outside of the central town and in most cases the auto groups would rush to the center to try and claim and hold a defensive position. The map itself was obviously not designed to be a PVP map but it was fun to play on. I say this because of the amount of LOS issues on certain trees and structures but most of this is fixable should the devs decide to use the same map again. I definitely enjoyed that all the action was away from the portal town and people weren’t exploited running back into the start point to avoid dying anymore.

Overall I chose to play in auto groups this time around and had a ton of fun. I met a lot of great players that I was able to work well with despite not being in coms and that was refreshing to see as a former hardcore player.

I think like anyone else here playing the game, my RL is still evolving and this event provided a ton of action at a time slot that typically sees a lot less. I know there are people that don’t like this event because it takes away from the frontiers ... but as someone who logs in late right as the BG is wrapping up and LFG goes quiet this was a blessing.

Thanks for the fun, and for anyone that played with me and stayed close thanks! I was on KPI the warrior and on Amili the bard!

I think the event is a good idea but not this often. Good server population at the event but check the difference of pop before and after the events. If I read the stats right server population at last event dropped by 100ppl if you compare pop the week before and the week after. Personally I dont do the event cos I have enough toons alrdy but if this server is heading for a quickleveling server thingy with a dead frontier every event then it´s not for me

Agree with others that premades ruin it for me. Autogroup or no group. If people complain they just want to play with their friends. They can go play with their friends, in normal rvr. 3 days of chaotic rvr and an actual even playing field would be nice.
