As the polls show, Mid outnumbers the other realms significantly. Having Savages on the ramparts, especially in NF, will be a major balance issue.

Now the rest of group/zerg can run in while the shrooms try to cast on the person no longer in LOS.
Not saying the idea is bad, but I think LOS check would be a massive nerf, not just a small one, but really massive.

While I understand your point and I thank you for your opinion, I would like to ask the following question.
Should pets be able to cast on targets that are entirely OutOfSight just because that one class would be nerfed otherwise?
I think a buggy feature should not define the utility of a class. Nothing should DD (not talking about gtae or pboae) through walls / floors / hills.
As far as I heard, back in time on the live server, LOS for shrooms was introduced (and even amount of shrooms per area limited), after that bombers got buffed in order to compensate the Animist nerf.
