When somebody attempts to cast a spell while interrupted, have the spell queue and begin casting when the interrupt ends, in a similar manner to a spell queuing when already casting.

That would not fall under QOL

Wouldn't it? Having to hit a key once rather than rapping on it seems like QOL to me.

I don't think so, this change would make the game take over and do something for you (cast the spell when the interrupt is over), as opposed to QoL which generally just allows you to do something in a more quick or efficient manner like using the personal bind stone to port or /train or something and doesn't really effect interaction between players.

One of the defining features of this game is the hard interrupt system.

This would change that, and make it a different game.

How does it change hard interrupts? You aren't able to cast any sooner, you're just hitting a button once rather than mashing it for the same outcome.

If something interrupts me I don't want the same spell to be queued again because I may want to cast a different spell (i.e. QC Stun instead of another nuke).

Yeah, that. This would actually change the spell queuing mechanic pretty drastically and is not simply QOL.

It would also be kind of useless because the amount of time you cannot cast right after being interrupted is actually shorter than the interrupt duration itself. So if you start casting the moment you can cast again after being interrupted, you're just going to get interrupted again.
