Pet mitigation (Shrooms, Charmed, and otherwise)

Turret Pets: Die when master dies
Turret Pets: Release when out of range (( 1500 Units ))
Turret Pets: Stop in mid cast if LoS'ed

Any Pet: Stop in mid cast if LoS'ed
Any Pet: Automatically release when out of range

Charmed Pet: Receives tinder damage bonuses from melee characters (would fix mini red pets being so lethal and capable of being downed quicker)
Note: Not for the pets, rather the damage done >from< melee characters vs charmed pets. ((Tinder damage doesn't exceed group tinder damage bonus - Group size is fixed at 1 person for tinder damage add)) (((in other words, you get the damage add as if you're solo vs Charmed pets so your tinder damage add isn't hitting harder than what your base damage is)))

And just like that, not satisfied with the 27 minstrel nerfs, the Minstrel/Alb nerf lobby keeps going on and on.

They won't be satisfied until Minstrels are in cloth and only have one ability that kills the 15 nearest Albs upon use.

This is why we should never have caved to irrational nerf whining by players spoiled with easymode.

I think the Hib suggestion I mentioned(shrooms) is more impacting than a possible red pet being easier to solo as a pure melee no?
Mini's are tough, not OP but unrelentingly tough. They aren't even nerffed bad here. Being allowed - Everyone had twist macro's built into 1 button - "easymode"? Then they got "Nerffed" and now you don't even need to twist/re-charm - "easymode".. "Not satisfied with the 27...." This would work for - Hunters(doesn't really count lol)/minis/sorcs/and Mentalist's Charm. Not fair to throw mini's under the bus as if their the ones being targeted. Is it because they can have the red pets?

Either way it's just a suggestion, no need to get bent out of shape and over exaggerate the situation.

Tinder is a non-factor in RvR.

I don't want ANY fix/patch/nerf that would inadvertently apply the tinder to RvR

As far as FnF pets dying when the caster dies, I 100% agree. I agree on the LoS check as well

Likely more than you.

I have hundreds of hours played on this server alone. I've leveled and played three animists to 50, both pve and rvr, on multiple servers including this one. My main alb char on live back in the day (heya Iseult peeps!) was a theurgist.

I say again, FnF pets should die when the caster dies.

Nope, FNF shrooms are the only pet which are unmoveable and have limited lifetime.
Theurgpets dont die aswell when the Theurg dies.
So ANi pets should have a compensation for. And that is the ability to life on, even the Ani dies.

I think this is a bad idea and a new nerf for the animists which is not needed

Obvioulsy meant to the guy that opened that topic. Because 3 out of 4 his "ideas" claim he doesnt have any clue of different situations in rvr with said classes.

What do you want to change about los, then? You want a second _custom_LOScheck including rangecheck at the end of each pet-spell? The devs would need to change something about pet-AI then or pets will stay in endless loop of failed attempts ... unless their target is/was in CC, staying right next to them or ignored/didnt see.

if shrooms can cast through buildings without ever having a los sure that needs fixing.

Beside this, to change a 20 year old classmechanic thats even on live never changed, there should be good reasons.
And without that, plz stop to try nerfing the animist again...
there are other classes which have attention of staff

I personally agree with you on animists and shrooms, but this argument is not one that should ever be brought up.

If something needs fixed, it should be fixed regardless of live or how long it has been on there.

Stay with your other arguments but let this one die. No game should let things go just because it was never fixed previously.

Then, they should start fixing attributes of bard ... thats like the oldest bug i know of :p Emp still raising for bards without any use... suprised nobody asking for any fix on this.

There also some other classes with same problem i believe? Casters getting quickness on lvlup or something? Stuff like that they could have a look imo :>

Slavery was a thing, too.. and that got abolished. Just because it had been around a long time doesn't mean it was a good thing.
