If I did it was not intentional, I'm just constantly moving.
Fun fights I thought.
Slowed by what btw?
I was faster because thugs have caster speed.
Low health, but I will take your word. The bug is still there.
I think I know which fight you are talking about. As I recall I didn't go below 30%. If there is a bug I was not aware of it.
This is a known issue, unfortunately it is a client side bug and therefore we cannot fix it. It is considered an exploit on Phoenix and if seen by ourselves or evidence of such activity is provided to staff we will take action against the player concerned.
I'm not trying to be difficult, but, it's also a known issue that some people will call cheater whenever they lose.
Not bragging just perspective, rr6 thug vs rr3 sm and rr3 sham. I have a maxed template and top tier buff pots. I also have over 2k solo kills. I've done this a while.
I was clarifying the Phoenix staff position on this bug. By no means was I pointing fingers.
This is a pre alpha and we are all guinea pigs here. I was simply pointing out a bug/exploit still exists. At no point am I trying to say anything against anyone other than what I saw and who was there when I was seeing it hoping it might be something that could be fixed is all.
False, you edited your post after I defended myself. Choose to think what you like but, I've never intentionally exploited this game.
So I think my main issue is, do I now have to alter my gameplay to account for all bugs present in the game?
Should we walk in straight lines if assassins are around? Should we not move at all when fighting in order to avoid straffing through styles or QC?
Not to even mention connection issues.
I'm not complaining simply pointing out that if we all posted on the forums anytime one of the above mentioned happened. Would there be time for anything else?
In regards strafing, it is generally the use of strafing to evade/escape an enemy player by circumventing the snare effect of low health, I have videos of players who are on very low health, managing to snare an opponent, then strafing away into the distance at normal speed(ie unsnared) to avoid being killed. Relocating from one area to another whilst snared from low health, post fight and using side strafe, stealthed or not, is also considered exploiting.
We as staff use common sense when reviewing evidence, or when witnessing an incident. The issue is always, did the player use side strafe to avoid death or escape from a situation where they were potentially vulnerable? We also apply common sense to other evidence of exploiting.
I think you are very well intentioned Beckett. Just fyi though, terms like common sense can be seen as demeaning as they predicate themselves on the assumption that everyone should see things the same way. Which we don't and shouldn't.
Edit: I think I might just be being petty now.
Last statement:
It simply rubs me the wrong way that had I not been made aware of this post my name would be associated with exploiting based on the hearsay of a player with a much smaller percentage of time put into their character who died in an rvr zone.
