XP Leveling Collection Tasks:

If you plan to do some solo leveling, it is recommended you turn in Phoenix Eggs at class trainers, as well do collection task quests. You can do one collection task per level, and each requires 10 items for turnins. Here you can find the level range, npcs, and locations for each collection task.

This is a PSA to all new players. Maximum lvling efficiency is NOT the standard "camp these purple mobs for 3 hours". The XP you get for killing mobs is absolute garbage. What you WANT is the kill task and collection task. This goes for both groups and soloing.

Kill task is simple. You kill a certain amount of monsters of a specific type(Humanoid, Magical, insect etc). [[Edit: also if you are solo, 1-19 the mob needs to be at least blue con and 20-50 yellow con to get credit. I forget what con you need if you are grouped (IIRC its red to the highest player in the group)]]. When you do, you get a nice chunk of XP. The reason why you dont want to camp in one spot, is that you need to kill increasingly more monsters each time. So level 1 task is 15 kills, level 2 is 31, level 3 is 52, etc.. DF is the best place for this because you can complete three different tasks at the same time (Creature, Dungeon, and Frontier) They all start from 1 after completed. It does not continue where you left off. To see your progress type /task or if you want to see all the available kill tasks type /task personal. These reset every 24hrs at 7pm EST.

Collection tasks are the same except you get an item off a specific mob. The best part is you can complete a kill task while farming for these! You can turn in 10 per level. I remember early on getting like 9 bubbles for 10 of them. At level 49 it gives about 4 bubbles for 10. You can do this every level, but remember, that anything that dings you to your next level will count towards that next level. So let's say you are 6 bubbles in to lvl 20 and you turn in 10 and ding 21, if 5 of those dinged you 21, the next 5 will count as 5 turn ins at lvl 21. You can only ever turn in 10 of one specific item as well.

I would write more but I'm on mobile

It is. Overall xp is ok but don't do it like a regular server.

This part kind of sucks. Last night I had finished farming 2 sets of 10 items. I was 1.5 bubs from my next level. I turned in the first stack and dinged the next level and got a good chunk into it. The next 10 stack it only took 2 of and wouldn't let me give any more (2 from the first stack took care of the 1.5 bubs of the previous level and 8 went to my new current level). So now I'm stuck with a stack of 8 at all times unless I forgo 2 items one level. When you turn in stacks it's as if you turn them in one at a time as far as the "max per level" goes. This shouldn't be the case imo. It would smooth it out if they all counted toward the level you were at when you turn in the stack.

Unfortunately this way you would be able to effectively level up to 40 in a few hours by just timing it correctly. The decrease in XP would be made up by the mobs/kill tasks. So get like say, 7 bubbles of xp, go get 10 items and bam, 6 bubs in to the next level, rinse and repeat.

Doesn't it work this way if you turn the 10 items in at the beginning of each level instead of the end? That's what I'm going to do now for as long as I can farm XP items for.

Yes best way is to turn your 10 items in early into the level so you do not go over into the next level and mess up your 10 items per level.

Believe me as a BD you have to solo a lot even if you do not want too so I figured that out quickly the hard way. Once I understood exactly the carryover part it made sense.

After reading up on collection tasks, I got smart and started to unstack the items before I hand them in, just so that I wouldnt hand any in on the new level.

Hoarding phoenix eggs as well, not sure when the increased xp for them is being implimented.

thqt only "helps" though when you are in a situation where you are NOT turning in 10items per level anymore....so in a bad spot

Better adjust so that you always have turned in a fullstack of items before you level up, then fill up the rest by levelling/XP egg when you are doing double turn-in

There's new tasks that have been added for lower levels.
