Melee ablative or heal proc?

Hi guys, I'm a Healer on MId and was wondering what's the best choice for my spell-crafted armor, if 100hp heal proc or 150 melee damage absorpion ablative.

It seems that a good solution is combine this two option but none could explain me why.

I mean, which are the upsides and downsides of each option?
Being that both of them activate only during a melee attack, it seems resonable that 150melee bsorpion is better than 100hp heal proc, isn't it?

Thanks for help!

I could be wrong here, but if i recall correctly a newly procced abltative will fail if an old ablative (with some remaining points) is still up.

So,,,,

Swing 1 - Procs Ablative (150 points)

Swing 2 - Hits for 280 damage, reduces current ablative down to 10 point remaining.
Procs ablative - but this doesn’t apply as you still have the old ablative up, so just fails.

Swing 3 - Hits with only 10 point reduction on the ablative.

This could happen often enough that out made people select different Procs so as not to minimise this wastage.
Again... could be wrong, I’m recalling years old knowledge rather than talking with any authority on the current mechanics here on phoneix.

Newly proc ablative always refresh the 150, personally I go with SI chest for heal then 1 other heal proc and rest ablative
