Will this affect UI's? I'm assuming so... If so, anyone already have a list of what is available at this new patch level?

Should we copy our appdata files for our qbinds and UI setups or is it useless to do so?

Trying to think of anything else that might arise from this update and trying to mitigate it now.

Your character files (%appdata%\EA\DAoC\Phoenix) should not be affected by the update, but feel free to make a backup.

The UIs should keep working, but various features might not work or not the same way as before.
If in doubt, set it to Atlantis/classic in the options or rename the custom folder to auto-fallback to the built-in UI.

We recommend to do a full client reinstall (or to setup a fresh secondary install [patched to live] next to your current Phoenix version) and use that as baseline after tomorrows maintenance.

The maintenance will be one of the longest we had and we will test lots of stuff before opening up the access.
However, as outlined in the announcement expect to see some weird object or NPC placements.

EDIT: Disregard, found the other post.

When is it ok to reinstall the client to the latest version? Can we do that before the maint tomorrow?

You can reinstall already - unless you want to play still.
Do it at the end of your play session

It sounds like it might be easier to just provide all of the game files using the 124 patch.

It is possibile to know why this is happening?
It is not easyer for phoenix to have his own client that wont be affected by retail version?

So when Ashok and the others say to do a full reinstall, does that mean we should uninstall the current client? Or, is a fix as easy as changing the current folder name and then creating/installing the new client into a different folder?

It would be super helpful if there was a how-to guide for current players, much as there is one in place for new players.

While our team is currently testing the changes, you have 2 options to prepare:

Either do:
1. Create a copy of your DAoC folder that's currently patched to Phoenix
2. Run camelot.exe inside the copied folder an let it patch
Done

EDIT: Once you can login after the maintenance, you can delete the "old phoenix" folder.

Or do:
1. Go to http://trial.darkageofcamelot.com/ an click "Download The Client" for the installer
2. Install it + run camelot.exe after to patch
Done

In both cases: Once the maintenance is over, just use the Phoenix.exe inside the patched folder to connect to Phoenix again.
Remember: The maintenance will last until 11am CEST minimum.

All your character settings (qbar settings, keybinds etc.) will be unchanged.

Cpuld you copy this guide on the main sticky server changes / today patch thread?
I was confused myself as well as few guild mates.

I've followed the instructions on the second option and can connect to game.

However, all of my qbindings, key settings, screen resolution, are gone. Do I need to reset or can I somehow revert from prior settings? Screen resolution is an easy fix, others not so much.

How to get old settings back?

EDIT: I fixed most of this by copying the "paths.dat" present in the old installation to the new installation.

Like they said, back up your .ini from C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\phoenix

If you haven't done this and it's been overwritten, I can't see how you're getting it back, unless you use some sort of restoring software.

I did this and it had no effect at all on the qbindings or keyboard settings. See my fix posted above.
