How are you preparing for launch?

Gathered all your meals/drinks ahead of time?
Caffeine/energy drinks to stay up?

Good luck to everybody - I hope there are smiles all around!

My brother made me a few DAoC shirts for Christmas, so I'll be wearing my Albion shirt into launch.

I took the wife to the spa, gave her a complete over the top treatment, cooked for her for two weeks (she was surprised), and took her shopping.

Sadly for me, I thought it was 5pm CST not 5am...oh well, happy wife, happy life anyway.

i have taken off monday and have informed my wife that she will have to watch the kids more than usual

besides that i am theorycrafting as much as i can, which will go wrong 90% of the time because i don't know the world enough/haven't played in years.

I will probably play multiple classes during the first few days, all while asking myself if it wouldn't have been better to rush one char to participate in the early raids.

My wife knows full well how much I've been looking forward to launch. I work 11 hour days and do most of the major errands and house maintenance, so it wasn't hard to leverage the time to poop sock launch.

As far as prep work goes, I've got my toons where I want them, bought some extra caffeinated coffee for the day so I'll be ready when the game opens.

Pizza and beer stocked. My wife and I will be playing together. Heres the trick to getting your wife / husband to play... It's hard to convince your spouse to enjoy the same hobbies you enjoy so, do what I did. Meet someone in game and marry them!

Which is what I wanted but didn't turn out like that...she's the opposite side of the spectrum lol

Gave my wife an Ipad pro for Xmas. Not related to Phoenix but that keep her busy. Kids will go to play tennis on Saturday.

I also met my wife on DAoC 8 years ago.. I have my oldest playing with me now. DAoC for everrrrr!

Pantry and fridge stocked well with food and drink; I also prepared some food so I have easy-to-reheat leftovers. I have much infos for the server printed on paper for quick reference along with the original prima guide, many tabs saved on my browser, and a brain full of 18 years worth of daoc knowledge.

Gotta get a good sleep tonight as alarm is set for 4:45am tomorrow (that's the worst part of it all but the guild wants to play right away at release). Took off work Monday to help recover from the crazy weekend.

I planned ahead. My wife has been wanting kids for a while now so nine months ago we started that process.
Her due date is tomorrow so that should keep her out of the house for a while so I can play.

Cleaning the house, prepping chili in the crockpot, cutting coupons for deals at my local mom and pop pizzeria, shopping is already done, laundry is set, birdcage is about to get cleaned, and finalizing my class/realm choices.

I will be distraction free for a week at least.
