Argh, level 50 help .. :( - Phoenix Freeshard

I started playing to get the feel of DAoC (been 20 years) and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Now im level 50 and ill be honest, I have no clue at all what to do. I want to RvR but my sorc is pretty useless right now.

Can anyone point me to some info on what I should be doing? I would like a guild for sure (alb / sorc) but do I start crafting, do I look for gear, I dont even know what I should be looking for as far as gear goes to be honest as I havent needed it the entire time leveling up.

Now I need a crash course on what needs to be done to get some PVP worthy equipment and a build / template that people will want to group with.

If you know of a coles notes or good info post that would be great, I took a look but didnt have much luck. People talk about spending loads of plat and even 1 or 2 plat in charges .. well I have levled from 1-50 and I only have like 3 plat total so what do I do to make money to sustain my gameplay as well as get geared?

Any tips / help / or pointers of good / friendly alb guilds would be greatly appreciated.

you need gear that will cover all your stats/resists
26% to all resists
26 power
200 Hit Points
75 dex
75 Con
75 intel
+ 11 to the spec that has your dps spell.

This will be a mix of player crafted cloth armor, RoGs (random generated items you get from mobs) , quest item and epic dungeon items.

First you will choose what epic dungeon items you need.
Epic dungeon items can be bought with feathers. Normally casters want the epic chest piece because of the 180 heal proc.
Staff either the one with acuity charge or preferably the one with a DD charge.

Than you decide on your jewelry items. SI neck quest is good. the rest of them you will buy from other players in housing or get from mob drops. Look for 50 + utility. 50 utility is pretty much all you need for a caster. Caster temps are the easiest.

Next, buy 99% cloth armor. all armor except chest because that will come from epic dungeon.
your crafted gear will need to be spell crafted, by a spellcrafter, procs added by alchemist and enchanted by an enchanter NPC. The procs you should use are epic mending (heal) and ablatives. Download loki or other spell craft program to help with SCing. You should plan the SCing before buying your jewels because you will be templating around them.

Dont get too overwhelmed, it's not as bad as you may think. Infact casters are probably the easiest class to template.

Also it depends on how far you wanna take him on temping. You can give up +pow and str items and still be perfectly fine. I did on my BD and hes no different. 26 pow is less than 1 spell cost so it's not a big loss. Do the SI necklace quest. You also get I think a 50 something utility accessory as well which you can use in your template. IIRC it's either a ring or jewel. There is also a quest for a bracer that gives good stats I think? The rest just buy cheap off the merchant housing (save money by going to the house directly). I would look for under 200g. Get around 55 util. If you can, get the Sidi vest. If not just get a 99% chest peice like the rest of your gear. Templating a caster shouldn't cost more than 3p unless you wanna go full max. That's without procs of course.

Also make sure to try and get +all magic on your items. You can fill out the rest on your gear.

Been reading about the gear and quests. Tried the epic but im definitely going to need a few people to do it.

I think the first step will be find a guild.

Hopefully can piece things together as I just made a new char (for something to do) but dont really want to play it .. gotta figure this end game stuff out.
