Anyone have no idea what class or realm they want to play?

Am I the only one who is so wishy washy that has no idea what the hell they want to play or do?

Someone tell me what to play.

I just found this freeshard a few weeks ago and still pretty much undecided between some Mid melee toon. Not sure how popular warriors are here and if I should play one as always, or play some other mid melee toon (or if they are everywhere).

Regardless of what we end up choosing as a realm (we are currently biased to Hib) I'm ending up as a healer. Druid, Cleric or (Aug)Healer.

Well, for me its more important to have the right ppl to play with. We came with our guild and a few friends from ally from that other Server. The roles / classes will be set while i50 . All open minded, realm is 90 % midgard atm.
Its better to have ppl u like and like to play with, instead of forcing oneself to a classbut have no ppl. Maybe stealthers can do so

Imo, since its beta, go socialise, it doesnt matter what class you play. Find the right ppl to play with and thus a realm, then you have many choices on the class. Unless you have a premade class choice which is not the case.

Not only have I not narrowed down what class(es) that I would like to play, but I haven't even picked a realm. Due to time constraints, I will only play one toon. To further complicate the problem, I'm too old and slow (recent elbow surgery) to play any fast-paces melee. I do have a lot of experience playing healers, so maybe one of those..?

If I play Bard, and I'm mediocre-to-bad, is that bad? Will anyone group with me?

completely wishy washy - I gravitate to solo and stealther and speed so that puts mins at top of list but im willing to try new realms. Have done skald and ns before ----possibly will do ranger and animist or chanter.


Never done a healer/druid/cleric (except in the smite cleric days) so maybe I try something new.

Perhaps I try a caster that is easy to level and template - sorc, chanter, bd?

i50 will help me a lot. SB and inf are at the top of my list for solo. Merc is going to be my group class. I'm only playing 2 classes to start with just to get them up to speed and some rrs.

I REALLY hope SBs will be competetive. I fear w/o purge up the lose EVERY fight to an inf however. I could be wrong I guess.

Great thread! I’ve played mostly solo as Skald (Demia) and am used to being rolled a lot by FG. However, I wouldn’t change a thing! This Phoenix community is frikken awesome! Whatever realm we all end up on, it’ll sure be fun.

1. Paladin - If the class are getting all new skill sets - Ala Like(https://playphoenix.online/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1963)
2. Warden if he gets shield + skill pionts.
3. Or maby hunter.

- As I have seen in a few posts, about issues when it comes to other class changes. I for one like that hunters don't have the dps as they normally have.
- I still believe that the casters dps are over the top, same goes for the 2 handed(Same as for the stealth PA attack) or when it comes to the both - Anyway the 2handeder there attack speed are way to fast.

- Also the stats difference, in light/medium and Heavy armor are way to small.

Hunter spear hits pretty hard. The slow 2h weapons from any class hit just hard as hell.

When in doubt, play easy mode.. i.e. Mid melee.

All you need is one mediocre player to pick targets.

If I play a healer, then I must group. Some groups refuse to leave the keep without the perfect 8-man setup, which means I'll spend quite a bit of time standing around.

If I play a soloer, then I can solo, pun intended. Since I'm older and slower, my reactions are poor. I won't be very good and will likely get frustrated at my lack of success.

Maybe I can get by playing an archer and leech?

My play time is sporadic since I have a career, kid, etc., and other stuff.. ...

My main realm will be Alb just because I like the classes in PvE and Arthurian mythos.
Secondary realm will be Mid

If by small man you mean stealth zerg, you are correct. There is plenty of visible small man action to be had.

as much as my first thought also is being forced into albion for smallman action, i know at the same time that that argument doesn't make sense really

if there is no smallman outside albion, who do the albion smallmens fight then?

If most of the smallmen-players are albs...going hib/mid gives me many more targets to fight against



yeah, for stealthzerging having a minstrel is OP, but besides stealthzerging all realms are pretty well equipped for smallmanning

Mid is superb for smallman with the Shaman + Skald combo. Add anything else you'd like to that.
