So i have several friends who are brand new to daoc, i managed to talk them into trying the game and of course we are experiencing the login issue when i do this. My solution if possible, is could i zip my daoc folder and just give them a copy of it, since i have no issues logging in at all? Is this allowed? Would cause any issues with me logging in?

It's just a copy of files, you can share it with them. But in a different thread where someone uploaded his working client it didn't work either. So I guess there are different factors than the pure files only.
Or you just wait for after the maintenance tomorrow. Everyone will need an updated client anyway after that.

We expect that the maintenance tomorrow will fix the issues, that keeps people being stuck at the loading screen as those mainly are caused by incorrect / unexpected client files due to the recent patcher change.
While you may give your DAoC folder to any of your friends, we recommend not to do it.
Instead: As preparation for tomorrow we suggest to do a clean reinstall of the client and fully patch it to the current live version, because this one will be the new baseline for Phoenix.
