The window I play DAOC in does not have borders for the mouse

I have a middle monitor I play the game in and two other monitors on either side. when playing, i manage to slide my mouse over to the other monitors.

I am no longer playing in full screen windowed mode, but it plays like its border-less still.

Some of my guildies say they are playing with multiple monitors and the game has their mouse locked into the border of the screen they are playing on.

Any help is appreciated.

So you've got 3 screen (1-2-3) and want to play on #2 with a locked mouse on the DAoC window, yeah?

Do you...
• have screen #2 set as primary in Windows
  • use the same screen resolution for DAoC as for screen #2?
  • use classic fullscreen, maximized borderless window-mode (aka borderless fullscreen window) or standard windowed mode (with border)
  • use any 3rd party software that may mess with the DAoC client (like ReShade)
  • use additional software for your mouse (to rebind mouse actions / scripts etc)
  •
I'm using 3 screen myself (using borderless fullscreen) and it's works as intended; mouse is locked to DAoC until I Alt+Tab.
However some apps might interfere on a security layer causing DAoC no longer have privileges to keep the mouse locked in the client frame.

Also could you please post a screen of your DAoC settings visible in the character selection.

These are my settings (I hope the attachment works).

1.Screen 1 is my Primary, but I am viewing it like 2-1-3 (2 and 3 are my side monitors)
    2. Yes, can see this in the SH
3.Refer to the SH, but I notice no differnce when using "Windowed" (it treats it like a window I just happen to have open and can navigate anywhere. Also, if I have neither selected, it just reverts to an un-streched character selection screen, but the game is in the correct resolution, however, if I click out of the game (because I can still move the mouse anywhere on the three screens) it tabs me out.
    4. I do not.
    5. I turned off Corsair "iCUE" and played around with all three setting and noticed no difference.

Alright, so lets try a few things.

First I'd say we check for a privilege issue:
    1. Open your DAoC folder
    2. Run the phoenix.exe as Admin (right click > run as admin)

This would require any 3rd party app to be on admin level too to interfere with the client; usually only antivirus software run on admin levels.

If you're running Windows 10 and not using the XBox connection thingy; disable it. The XBox app hooks into any game client it identifies (to offer screen recording) and may mess up DirectX controls:
    1. Press Windows key + R
    2. Input services.msc & hit enter
    3. Search for the 4 XBox entries and shut them down via right click menu (you can disable them later if that's fixing it)

Re-install your NVidia drivers and select to do a "clean installation" when prompted. This is just to make sure non of the NVidia settings is doing something wonky.

Tried running as Admin straight from the folder and no change.

I am running Win 10 and I disabled all the Xbox services, except "Xbox Game Monitoring" as it told me "access denied" when I tried switching it to disable in the drop down and then clicking the Apply button. I did leave it in "Manual (Trigger Start)" if that makes a difference from "Automatic" in the drop down.

After all that I tried running Phoenix.exe in Admin and gave my desktop icon a shot as well, and still nothing.

Let me know what's next, and thanks for the help!

My solution. Running in fullscreen windowed.
Note I've never actually tried the game without it, as I ALWAYS run this app, so I've no comment on it's normal function at all.

For casual play and doing things on the other monitors (and everyday computer use - even not gaming), I use "cursor movement between screens is sticky", with the resistance turned up about a third of the way. Prevents the inadvertent mouse-move to the other monitor when you "bump the edge", but changes monitors with a deliberate motion.

For concentrated play, I hit my macro to change it to "lock cursor to screen", and use my "move freely" hotkey if I actually want to change monitors.
