[Solved] Game crash when using Custom UI

Hello,

First, yesterday I had no problem playing.
This morning, i launched the game, clic play, got a black screen (30-60 sec) then crash to desktop. I tried again, same. I created a new character with no prob, but when i clicked play, crash again.

I uninstalled DAoC (and delete, reinstalled it, update, install phoeni launcher and finaly launched the game, click play and it worked. But got the base UI.

I install trusha Custom UI, game crash when click play. I tried with Topi, Bysan and Tokajer custom UI, all found in the topic "Working UI", and the game crashed every time I clicked Play.

I have asked for help on the Discord, but no luck for now (only been an hour).

I would try using the Atlantis UI. If that works, then your custom UI is the problem.

Thanks for your answer Uthred.

I have use the UI from this thread yes. And none of the 4 had worked.
And the Atlantis UI (i refered to it as the base ui) work fine.

So i really don't know what the problem is since yesterday everything was working fine.

Hi,

So, i found the problem.
it's one or the other :
1) windows defender : antimalware service executable. It was running and using 50%(2 or 3go) of my RAM and maybe he was bugged and scanning a XML file from the custom UI -> file locked -> DAOC cannot acces the file so it crash.

2) second possibility : restart the PC.
