Ranger bows not useable

I have been playing a ranger for awhile I have noticed some bow under the name have firing weapon instead of recurve bow I try to equipt them is says I have no skill using this weapon I fillinaly get a new bow cant use it is my toon bugged or what?

I've never seen this...can you afford the cheapest bow from a vendor just to test that you can use that bow?

Saw multiple similar question in advice chat yesterday. Can't remember class & item combination though.
