"unable to get the path to your my documents directory"

Hello, followed the installation instructions and this popped up:
"dark age of camelot was unable to get the path to your My Documents directory. You may need to change your security settings."

tried putting my documents in various env paths and plopping a my documents folder in various folders but it didn't work

Try running as Administrator.

running as admin doesn't fix the problem.
something in regedit? have to do a junction? something simple im just overlooking? (running win10 home)

Go to Windows Defender Settings-->Virus & Threat Protection-->Virus & Threat Protection Settings--->Manage controller folder access-->turn it off.
