Hi,

as the title says... When i launch Phoenix.exe the "checking files" window briefly pops up and then closes. It never completes the scan.

What's the cause and/or solution to this problem?

Server isn't open to the public atm, see Announcements for when the stress test starts and when Live will start.

Even with server closed, you should get the logon window and be able to launch to the load splash screen. There it will tell you that the server is closed. I would troubleshoot this now so that you’re ready to go on launch day.

Have you made sure your base DAoC installation is up to date before running the Phoenix Launcher?

Assuming you get the normal login afterwards it actually does complete. It being as fast as it is was a goal and took some work to achieve it but was required to make it feasible to run it on every launch. While it actually takes some time still on older HDDs, on most SSDs it should be mostly instant except for maybe the very first check after a fresh reboot.

Bump. Having this same issue. The pheonix files are in the right place in the DAoC folder but when I run Pheonix.exe nothing it pops up for 3 seconds then disappears and nothing happens. Has anyone found a solution?

Sound similar to my problem... first it checks the files, patches them, then the "checking files" window keeps on popping up. All the time. All I can do is reboot my pc, I never get to see the login launcher or whatever.
What I've tried so far:
- remove all Phoenix related files, put them back in from a freshly downloaded .zip
- same as above plus patching the DAoC client from live server again
- use an other installation folder
- uninstall DAoC completely, patch and everything

Nothing worked ;(
