patcher restarting itself <solved>

Installed, ran patcher, and it completed, but now it constantly restarts itself every 3-4 seconds. Never gets to the login screen.

Solution - Delete everything and completely reinstall.

The two most common reasons for any Phoenix patching issues are:

  • DAoC live client not installed (or not patched to latest version)
  • Antivirus software stops the Phoenix updater for whatever reason

    So: run the camelot.exe in your DAoC folder and let it patch to fulfill #1. Set the whole DAoC folder as expection in your AV software or uninstall it for testing purposes (disabling usually does not help)
