East Coast USA here and yeah it's pretty terrible, tbh. Checked my download and upload speed, and they're 34/8, should be plenty. Never had issues on the other server with LDs and lag, and I've LDed twice in the last 5 minutes here. The connection or routing is just really bad from east coast USA to wherever this server is it seems like. It's honestly not really playable for me sometimes.
Updated: Checked my DL/UL. 91/12, so no issues there. Have not been able to connect to the server for 45 minutes. ALl other internet functions running perfectly.
East Coast US. No issues until about 5 hours ago today. Now I log in and latency goes green yellow red every few seconds then it comes back. I have disconnected twice in 30 minutes when I have had 0 disconnects the previous few days. Even connecting to website / forums is laggy. No problems with any other websites.
West Coast US here same issue no problems as of last night 1 am pst when I logged off. Today intermittent lag all day DCed about 1 hr. ago and now I can not get back on I can sometimes get to char select screen, but when I try to load a char the game either returns to char select after 20-30 sec or it just crashes. Comcast internet 80 Mbp DL 30Mbp up all other internet works fine
Some traces have been done and a ticket has been opened with our hosting provider. This looks like some faulty route that has been enabled for some NA people to the server. My guess would be that it'll resolve itself in the next couple hours and in case it starts tomorrow again around the same time I'd expect our hosting provider to resolve it within 2 - 3 days, that's how long it took the last time a route had to be changed for french people with the Orange ISP.
Using a VPN has resolved the problem for me. I am connecting through a US location and it works without lag. Through my provider, Xfinity I was unable to connect and had terrible lag earlier.
Minnesota, charter communications business line 200 meg down 100 meg up... last 2 nights ld and lag horrible... just started happening again at 5pm today cst
Folks this gameplay lag has zero to do with you upload/download speed, it has everything to do with your pathing, how many hops you have between your PC and the server and if there are any bad nodes in that path. I would recommend using a VPN to eliminate most of your hops and to bypass any black hole nodes. Comcast won't do it on the behalf of a few gamers, they are focused on business customers.
Give WTFast a try, they have a free trial so if it doesn't solve your issue you don't pay for it.
