My chat is bugged. Whenever I press shift it jumps to the start of the chatbox

So. Everything was fine yesterday. I don't have any problems in windows or any games but I cannot use my shift button in daoc anymore.. For example when I want to write /advanced it will do the following: advanced/

whenever I press shift the | jumps to the left and I cant use any capitalization or any symbols like question marks or anything without jumping to the left.

It is annoying. I cannot use the lfg channel, I cannot talk in advice. I cannot send ppl.

Can someone help me?

edit: I found out capslock works. So I am using capslock for now.

My guess is that the "Home" key on your keyboard is stuck, possibly in some kind of repeating loop. Hitting "Shift-Home" takes the cursor to the beginning of the line. So when you hit shift, if the home key is repeating, that's what it would do. I could be wrong, but I've seen stuff like that before.

Try mashing your Home key a bunch of times and then see if the problem still happens.

The problem is daoc specific so I doubt my home screen is stuck. My keyboard doesnt even have a home key.

This is a bug in the client. Has happened to me. I don't remember how to fix it though, sorry.
