Mouse look doesn't freeze mouse on last position

Hi,

I just started playing on phoenix and have one huge issue which will result in me probably not playing.

I have two screens and use permanently "Mouse Look" with my right mouse button down, as most will do. However, this function doesn't freeze the mouse cursor in the position, the cursor actually still travels, even though you can't see the cursor.

So in example I use "mouse look" and look to the right and let go of my right mouse button, I end up on my second screen which is really annoying. On any other game or versions of DAoC the mouse cursor remains on position where I hit my right mouse button.

I don't know if anyone has the same problem or if there is already a post/fix to it. I also tried all different versions of Fullscreen, Fullscreen window and windowed mode, in hopes that maybe the cursor at least stays withing the frame of the game, but no matter what I choose, it still ends up on my second screen.

Anyone able to help as this would be a game breaker :/

Cheers

I think what your looking for is the snap back option in the settings. Turn it off.

Edit : Just reread this. Prob not what your looking for. Sorry.

Hi Kronin,

Yeah unfortunately not the snap back. I don't know, I never had this in any game, is anyone else having this? Or is no one using mouse look with right mouse button?

/edit
I've just done a few changes back and forth with full screen/window mode etc and also moved game screen from one monitor to the other and back, seems to have cured it... no idea what happened, but I restarted game and still, all good!!!!
All sorted!! )

cheers

I'm having this issue. Gonna try the mixed bag of possibilities you mentioned to see if it fixes itself.

Update1:

I have tried all of these "quick fixes" and none have resolved the problem. I have even disabled Nvidia surround (I have 3 screens) to try some of the solutions, this did not help.

If anyone finds the solution, please post.

Update2:

I have fixed this issue by creating a completely fresh daoc folder, downloading the original client from the live server. Originally I had copied an old folder from a different private sever, then updated the client to the live patch on the live server, then ran the phoenix launcher. Creating a new/fresh daoc folder direct from the live server (as the Phoenix "How to Play" suggests) has fixed this issue.

Hope this helps others.
