Keyboard and settings reset after every character login

I've had issues logging in a few weeks ago, and had to delete this folder in order for it to work:

C:\Users\USER\Documents\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot

Now the issue it created (probably) is that I can't save any keyboard or ingame settings. The folder is not read only and I've unset the hidden folder as well just in case.

Any ideas?
